MY GOD! the state of Hip-Hop culture in the black community is in mutha fuckin SHAMBLES!

I've come to realize that Hip-Hop bein dead really aint about the music at all. I humored the thought in the last journal I did about this subject, but this time my nigga, I'm goin for broke on this shit and I'll tell ya why.

If you hadn't heard, OJ Da Juice Man was up in NYC at BB King's openin for Reakwon. So he gets through to the end of his first song, no cheers, nothin, when he starts to talk and go into his next song...BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. I mean they boo'd him out the house.

Now this ain't surprising and then again it is. NYC has been on some bullshit about rap from the West and South coasts for alternative periods of time, but right now they on the South, stronger than ever.

That's what I thought...I got it wrong. In fact I don't know what the fuck NYC folks is on now. I think the disease has spread to a lot of people who loved Hip-Hop and it's systematically destroying it from the inside, out.

What do I mean? I mean I thought the didn't like "southern rap" that is until they boo'd Bustah Rhymes, then I was like, what!? I don't think niggas know what they want out of hip-hop any more. Or it could be that Hip-Hop has now become the Hollywood of the hood. Yes, ghetto fabulous has become several thousand dollars richer and it don't give a fuck.

The music aint important no more, because it seems that if you an "untouchable", a legend, or well know group/individual in the game, you gon get a good reception pretty much.

Example: Reakwon gets mad respect for rappin about the dope game, but Guccimane needs to go die. Is that not fucked up?

And the excuse is, "You can't bring that whackness to the place that invited hip-hop".
Well, who da fuck are these niggas to define what is whack and what aint?

Is a Romanticized Poem more suitable to be read than a Haiku?

Should we choose Nursery Rhymes over Lullabies?

How dare these niggas tell us that we have some standard in the architecture of rhymin. Hip-Hop aint ball room dancin, where every dance that was gathered to be used there is restructured to the fuckin Waltz.

Hip-Hop is a movement of culture just like the Jass, Blues, Rock, Funk, and Soul that came before it. There were different forms inside those movements that made the genre's what they were as a whole.

You never heard somebody talkin bout the way somebody played their guitar or sung the song was going to destroy the art form. So why are so many people goin nuts today?

Even in the circles of spoken word poetry niggas is tryna say what is and what aint. How you should say your poem and how you shouldn't. It's all some mutha fuckin bullshit.

Maybe Hip-hop needs to be snatched away from the world abruptly, then maybe dem prideful ass niggas up in NYC(the ones who bout that bullshit) and all the lame asses around the American who just don't like shit and love to talk trash will learn the hard lesson.

I think I'll end it right there. This shit was gonna be a lot edgier before I wrote but due to the fact I didn't wanna Alienate and offend the entirety of the Northern state and the people I'm too kool wit up there I toned it down.

The bullshit gotta stop though man. Either get along or get da fuck outta here.
